As part of his effort to Green the Valley, Councilmember Blumenfield has replaced 20,000 sq ft of thirsty lawn at the West Valley municipal Center and neighboring West Valley Library with a demonstration garden featuring California landscaping options. Blumenfield started discussions on how to reduce the water footprint at the West Valley Municipal Center since entering office and was proud to lead the way on saving the City water and educating Valley residents who visit the building on options for turf replacement.
